Blaine's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Harbor Lights, Family Fun Run/Walk
Come one come all to downtown Blaine to celebrate Holiday Harbor Lights held on
the first Saturday in December with activities to kick off the season for the whole family!
Discover an array of unique gifts strolling through downtown shops and at the Homemade
Arts & Crafts Bazaar Friday & Saturday which will be at the Blaine Community Center,
763 G Street from 9 am – 4 pm. The Blaine Library Book Sale will also offer treasures for
readers both Friday and Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm.
Share in the cheer sipping mulled wine & cider at Blaine Bouquet Wine, Flower and Gift
Shop, 625 Peace Portal Dr. Saturday from 12 pm – 5 pm.
Join in the 1st annual Holiday Lights Dash, a 1 mile fun run, starting at 3 pm from H Street
Plaza. Anyone who wants to run or walk can take part; strollers and wagons are welcomed for
younger family members. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday attire. Prizes will be
awarded! Preregistration fee includes a t-shirt, and chili feed after the event. For registration

Reminisce of an old fashioned Christmas riding a horse drawn trolley downtown between
4:00 pm – to 6:30 pm. Rides are free sponsored by the Blaine Chamber. Afterward you can
stay toasty warm around a fire and sing holiday karaoke throughout the evening sponsored by
Thousand Trails.
Share in the magic of the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:30 pm downtown
at Harbor View Plaza (“H” Street and Peace Portal Drive). Enjoy caroling and the Blaine
School Band & Choir playing in anticipation of Santa’s arrival by fire struck amidst sirens
around 5:15 pm. Santa will take time to visit with tots for pictures and free candy canes at the
Blaine Pizza Factory, 738 Peace Portal Drive. Help Santa feed families in need and bring a
food item to the tree lighting for the Blaine Food Bank. Peace Portal Drive will be closed to
traffic from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm from H and G Streets during the tree lighting festivities.
Marvel at decorated boats sailing through Drayton Harbor between 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm and
afterward enjoy a closer look down at the Blaine Harbor Visitor Dock where the boats will be
tied up after the parade.
Enjoy a local holiday tradition, the Children’s Nutcracker Fantasy performed by the Blaine
Conservatory on, the 2013 date to be announced at a later time, at Blaine Performing Arts Center. All proceeds go to the
