Sail into the season in the seaside town of Blaine with holiday festivities to delight the whole family!
Festivities include a Holiday Art & Gift Market, Christmas Arts and Crafts Bazaar, Free Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Holiday Lights Obstacle Dash, Caroling, Music, Community Tree Lighting, a Visit from Santa and a Dazzling Boat Parade!
Shop for unique gifts Friday and Saturday from 9-4 pm at the Homemade Arts & Crafts Christmas Bazaar at the Blaine Community Center ~763 G Street or find one of a kind hand crafted gifts and art pieces by local artists at the Blaine Holiday Art and Gift Market sponsored by the Blaine Harbor Art Gallery - 674 Peace Portal Dri., Friday, December 4th, 10 - 4 pm & Saturday 10 - 6 pm. Cozy up with a good book from the Blaine Library Winter Book Sale ~ 610 3rd Street, Friday 10-6 pm & Saturday 10-3 pm.
Sprint to the finish at the Holiday Lights Obstacle Dash 1.5 mile fun run or walk with obstacles for all ages for all ages organized by Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation, Let's Move Blaine and sponsored by local businesses. The race starts at 2:30 pm from H Street Plaza and is followed by a chili feed.
Relive the holiday magic with the Northwest Ballet Theater Performance of the Nutcracker at the Blaine School Performing Art Center Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 5th at 2:30 pm. Reminisce of an Old Fashioned Christmas and ride a Horse Drawn Trolley Ride downtown (free) sponsored by the Blaine Chamber on Saturday, December 5th 5 to 7 pm.
Come one come all to the Holiday Harbor Lights Community Tree Lighting at “H” Street and Peace Portal Drive on Saturday, December 5th at 4:30 pm with caroling. Enjoy free refreshments sponsored by Semiahmoo & Stafholt and the Blaine School Band & Choir playing in anticipation of Santa’s arrival. The Tree Lighting takes place at 4:30 pm and Santa arrives amidst sirens in a decorated fire truck at 5 pm. Santa will take time to visit with tots for pictures and free candy canes at the Blaine Pizza Factory ~738 Peace Portal Drive. Cash donations for visits with Santa will be accepted for The Blaine Marine Park Playground. Peace Portal Drive will be closed to traffic from (4 pm-6 pm) from H and G Streets during the tree lighting festivities.
Marvel at a dazzling display of decorated boats which will sail through Drayton Harbor between 6 -7 pm. Watch the parade from the Blaine Harbor Public Pier and visit the boats before the parade at the Blaine Harbor Visitor Dock.
